Alila Villas Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia

Late autumn, 2025

Minimalist architecture met lush, overgrown jungle for this intimate destination wedding in Bali. The day was defined by quiet, intentional moments, sculptural floral arrangements, and a candlelit reception beneath the tropical canopy.

Lin and Thomas are deeply drawn to modern design and tropical environments. They wanted a celebration that felt like an architectural retreat—clean lines, striking silhouettes, and the sweeping expanse of the Indian Ocean as their ultimate backdrop.

The day was a study in serene elegance. They got ready in separate ocean-view villas, maintaining a sense of calm and anticipation. The ceremony took place on a dramatic overhanging cliff pavilion. I took a highly editorial approach here, playing with the sharp shadows cast by the modern architecture and the organic movement of the tropical breeze.

Following a breathtaking sunset, guests gathered for an intimate, lantern-lit reception. The design was immaculate yet restrained, allowing the natural beauty of the location to shine. The night was filled with heartfelt toasts and quiet, shared glances, perfectly reflecting the couple's deep, grounded connection.

Special thanks to everyone who was involved and helped make this celibration a successful and lasting memory.
